Of course! i hope that i can become a tattoo artist! it would be amazing if u told me a lil about how u got 2 the place u r! like all the stuff u had 2 do 2 become 1 or were u had 2 go 2 learn. u know stuff like that...
:icontotallyshazbot:
I gave up everything to learn. I quit school, quit my job, and spent two years working for nothing. You have to get an apprenticeship with an artist. You have to either pay him to teach you or you have to work it off, kinda like slave labor :D You have to have a good enough portfolio put together that they want you to work for them. Also, if you're ever writing to a professional tattoo artist of any kind, please spell out your words instead of using the text language thing. It makes you look like you don't have the time or patience to type, so why would you have the patience for tattooing? It doesn't bother me personally, but a lot of tattoo artists are assholes, just to let you know.

Thank you! I apologize for my appearance, but I a sure that I am for real on the matter! Thanks for not taking the writing seriously. Would you have any advice for my particular situation? I would like to become a tattooist but I have a life long dream of going to college as well. Do think that it is possible to become and intern and still go to school. With a double major at the Art Institute I'm sure it would do me some justice, I'm just not sure if all three is possible. What do you think?
:icontotallyshazbot:
It's not possible, hon. You have to choose one or the other. At least, whenever I talk to serious artists or shop owners, that's what they say. You might find a kinder artist in your area that's willing to work with you, but usually that isn't the case. But who knows. I'd say go to college first, perfect your 'tattoo' style, and once you're done then start looking for a career in tattooing. Unless you want to tattoo with all your heart, and it's the only thing you can imagine doing, then go for that, do everything you can possible to pursue that.
